Burnley Mechanics Theatre, Marketing Lancashire’s Cultural Venue of the Year 2016 has an excellent opportunity for a reliable, self-motivated individual to play an important support role within a busy organisation.
We require someone who has the desire to work as part of a team and help with the busy day to day administration and box office duties at the Theatre. Ideally you will have some experience of working in the entertainment, performing arts or hospitality industry.
You will need to show an ability to write clearly and have an understanding of a busy office. You will need good attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines. Duties include working on our box office, selling tickets, dealing with customers, updating data, assisting our marketing team, taking bistro bookings and general office duties.
You will also be supported to undertake a level 3 (advanced) apprenticeship in Business Administration so you must be able to complete a college assessment for the course. This role offers a challenging and enjoyable working environment plus the opportunity to learn and gain a National Apprenticeship Qualification. Day release at Burnley College is required for this qualification.
